Online care
What makes a remote visit a real visit?
A screen changes the setting. It does not remove the need for a personal medical review.
What should happen between the form and the plan?
HistoryYour health, medicines and goals.
QuestionsA clinician can ask for missing details.
PlanThe reason, options and next contact.
A form on its own is not enough. The clinician needs a way to ask you follow-up questions and hear your answers before deciding on treatment.
Does online care get a lower bar?
No. As of September 2026, the national federation of state medical boards says a clinician treating you by phone or video must meet the same standard of care as at an in-person visit.
If a remote visit cannot meet that standard, remote is the wrong way to give that care. When the review needs a physical exam or a test, the clinician can arrange it or send you to a local clinic.
